I have always had dogs as companions in my life. These are two of the sweetest dogs I have known and felt compelled to create portraits of them.

Sachems Head Cows Grazing Watercolor Painting
It's been quite a while that I have posted something new on this blog. I have been very busy painting and working on many other directions in my life but painting is my first love, so I'd like you to take a gander at this painting and let me know your thoughts. This is a scene near Sachems' Head, CT. Hope vistas like this never disappear from our landscape.
This painting is available contact me for details.

Dairy Farm On Totoket Road
Sold
Many times I have driven past this dairy farm and wondered how much work is required to keep up a farm like this. I have to give the owners of this farm a lot of credit to keep it running. I find this area to be absolutely beautiful and hope that it will always stay that way.

Mother and Son Horses Painting
Sold
As of late the portrait commission is moving along well and I moved off to work on a new painting of horses in oil on canvas (one of my favorite subjects) to offer for sale. Portraits are fine and challenging to paint but what I really enjoy is the Connecticut countryside and all it has to offer. I can't help to paint what I see outside (especially farms and farm animals). I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it.

Sunday Afternoon Graze
I like to take my Sunday afternoon drives with my camera looking
for scenes like this. This pony was on the small size and perfectly groomed.
I knew that whoever owned her would spend the time making sure she
had everything that she needed.

Grazing in Stonington
Sold
This was one of those wonderful trips I experienced
in eastern Connecticut that just came together for me.
This painting is from a scene just north of Stonington, CT.
There are many small family owned farms in that area that
you should definitely visit if you are ever in Connecticut.
I came across this vista on a hot, sweltering summer day,
seeing a mare whipping her tail to clear the 'fly cloud'
that some animals experience while out in the open countryside.

Young Horse in Stride
Sold
God has given us quite an array of beautiful things
to look at and appreciate, the horse is one animal that fits this bill.
I love the way they look and move. Even static against
the landscape I find them stunning.
