Grazing in Stonington

Sold
This was one of those wonderful trips I experienced
in eastern Connecticut that just came together for me.

This painting is from a scene just north of Stonington, CT.
There are many small family owned farms in that area that
you should definitely visit if you are ever in Connecticut.
I came across this vista on a hot, sweltering summer day,
seeing a mare whipping her tail to clear the 'fly cloud'
that some animals experience while out in the open countryside.

14" x 10" Oil on stretched canvas

Absolutely lovely! Even though I was raised in Texas, this is very reminiscent of where I grew up... I love it!

Hi Robert:

Art Williams, the WanderingSalsero in Korea here. Although I'll admit I can get bored with 'nature' painting sometimes, and 'still lifes'....nevertheless I do like some of yours. Of all that I see here, I think I like this one the best. Probably because it gives a gut feeling of the slope of that hill. I can sorta imagine flying over it on a motorcycle.

I guess you knew that your regular website isn't coming up, right?

Best regards,
Art
